Wow! It’s almost Thanksgiving, and I already see people getting ready for Christmas! It’s a busy time for everyone, and the holidays can sneak up on us, so here is a list of what is going on in the community this holiday season.
November 18: The Eagle Point Grange is hosting a holiday bazaar at 5 S. Shasta Avenue from 9am – 4pm
December 1: The Eagle Point Association has a tree lighting ceremony with all sorts of fun activities including caroling, a chili feed, Santa for the kids, and of course, the lighting of the Christmas tree! The festivities will be from 6-8pm at differing locations. (There are several posts on Face Book on the Eagle Point and Upper Rogue Chamber page)
December 9: Youth 71Five Ministries and the Eagle Point Foundation are partnering to host the annual Santa Workshop community event to provide Christmas presents to families in need. More info at our Face Book page “71Five Campus – Eagle Point.”
As an active member of the community, I would like to tell you what we do at 71Five (formerly Rogue Valley YFC). 71Five is a faith-based youth outreach program which aims to bring hope to young people through relationship by providing a safe place to belong, and sharing God’s story of hope. There are a number of ways for you to be involved in the work God is doing in the Rogue Valley. Young people desperately need your friendship and the love of Jesus in their lives. Through your involvement and God’s power, we will see young lives transformed.
