The week began with Cycle Oregon peddling through Crater Lake and Prospect on day 3 of their week long ride in Southern Oregon. If you’re on Facebook there are some great pictures of their ride and experience here: https://www.facebook.com/CycleOregon On Thursday the Rogue River Lodge was honored by the Medford Chamber the “Small Business Excellence Award for 2012.” Great recognition for a wonderful business right here in the Upper Rogue. Make sure to stop by and say Hi to the crew at Rogue River Lodge and congratulate them on their award. Think local, live local, eat local… The Book Mark in downtown Eagle Point had former Eagle Point High School Student and author Nate Burleigh to sign his latest book. It was a very successful event. Friday night brought close friends and family and Saturday brought a lot of people into the Book Mark for the first time.
Saturday they came out in droves to Burns Park for the White City Family Fun Day. Fire District 3 was there grilling burgers for the kids, the water was a flowing, and several EPUR Chamber Businesses were there with booths set-up. It was day full of family fun and good food.
Saturday was also the Little Butte Creek Watershed Festival at Harnish Wayside Park. Smokey Bear was there with Fire District 3, there were salmon learning demonstrations, salmon art work as well as a giant pacific salamander. It was a day fro making learning fun and the kids had a great time…
If you went to the Butcher Shop Saturday afternoon you were greeted smiles and long lines, Cam, Brian and Stacy are doing it right and it shows… Bob Russell reported a great weekend at the Antique shop.
