Hello,
As our Upper Rogue community’s journey through 2023, an issue that will be on many of our radars will be centered around workforce. Whether we are business owners, employed, looking for a new career, or coming out of school, it will be important for our community groups to work together to support our local businesses, business owners, and workforce.
Our new Chamber Board is exploring ways to better support local businesses, and it will take all of us to be successful. Additionally, the Chamber Board welcomes ideas on how to support our regional businesses, so please come to our Monthly meetings, or contact any member of the Board and share your ideas.
Our local schools are graduating more and more students every year, with a lot of work going into ensuring these students have the tools necessary to succeed. At Crater Lake Academy, staff has been dedicated to working with partners like Eagle Point School District and Rogue Community College to remove barriers for our students to have increased success in securing meaningful careers. If you are an employer and would be interested in speaking to local students regarding your industry, please do so!
Working together we can help better prepare tomorrow’s workforce today.
