April Showers Bring May Flowers

Summer is here and the living is easy, at least as long as you don’t dwell too much on all the current
economic and political turmoil. But the Chamber has good news and fun events for you and the family to
enjoy.

Our Eagle Point Police Chief Jim Hamilton received the Oregon Association of Police Chiefs annual award for Police Chief of the Year. Congratulations Jim, it is very well deserved.

When you drive down Main Street Eagle Point you will notice a new Christmas Tree planted in Bob Moore Park. It will take a bit of time for the Tree to grow and become distinctive, but it will be a welcome addition to the Holiday festivities.

The April 19 Easter Egg Hunt was a big success, and we hope to grow this annual event as we move
forward. The next big event will be the Fourth of July downtown Eagle Point.

The Chamber is always looking for additional volunteers to assist with these wonderful community events.

Between Easter and the 4th of July, the Chamber will be holding a Mixer with the Eagle Point School District on Tuesday May 20 and a Joint class on social media education with the Central Point Chamber from 5:00- 7:00 PM at the Central Point Grange Hall on May 27.

On Wednesday May 28 the Chamber will conduct a Ribbon Cutting for Hunter Communications at the Shady Cove City Hall at 11:00 AM. Please come and join us and meet the Hunter Team.

Most importantly, please do not forget Mom this Sunday as it is Mother’s Day and she deserves flowers from Heaven Scent Florist, a massage from Pro Spine & Sport, or something special from one of our local stores or restaurants. You’ll get your chance to go to the Hardware store next month for Fathers Day.
