Great Things That Happen In The Upper Rogue Stay In The Upper Rogue!

The Circus is coming to TOWN! The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is coming to town Tuesday May 21st for two shows, 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Volunteers will be selling tickets today (Friday) in front of Ray’s from 10 am to 1 pm. You can also purchase them through Monday at The Butte Creek Mill, Upper Rogue Independent, Cascade Community Pool, and State Farm. Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for children. Every adult ticket sold allows us to donate a children’s ticket to a child that cannot afford to attend, so buy a ticket and make a child’s day.

General meeting: Our next general meeting is Monday June 3rd 12 noon to 1 pm at the Ashpole Center. The meeting will be hosted by the Friends of the Library and our guest Speaker will be County Commissioner Don Skundrick. Come out and support the great work Friends of the Library do, as well as Commissioner Skundrick.

Roam The Rogue: Come join the Upper Rogue Valley winemakers on Saturday May 25th from 11 am to 5 pm as they introduce their newest wines and share their creative inspiration while pairing delicious appetizers with some of the best wines from each of these wineries: Folin Cellars, Agate Ridge, Cliff Creek Cellars, Del Rio Vineyard, Kriselle Cellars and LaBrassuer Winery. Tickets are only $29 per person and include a commemorative Reidel glass; plus delicious appetizers and wine tasting at all participating wineries.

Mill Creek Festival: May 25th The Mill Creek Festival is a fundraiser for the foundation. This years festival will be on May 25th 2013 with the first event kicking off at 8:30am. We have a whole lot of activities going on, for example, the cougar run, a parade, bed races, and FREE kids activities! There will also be a flag retirement ceremony and a horseshoe tournament with live music playing through out the day! Also there will be food and craft booths of all kinds! After Hours Social Mixer Flag Day June 14th: Friday June 14th 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Harnsih Wayside, the Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber and Avenue of the Flags will host the “After Hours Mixer.” We will be having a re-dedication ceremony for the Vietnam War Memorial Plaque. We’ll have music, food and fun while we honor the Veterans that served during Vietnam.

You’ve seen the beautiful hanging flower baskets around town: The community and city has really stepped up this year and we’ve almost raised enough money for the baskets and maintenance. Every little bit helps and we’ll be collecting over the next couple of weeks. Please contact Bob Russell at the Butte Creek Mill to donate.
