Our May General Meeting will be held at Alpaca’s at Lone Ranch: Richard and Renate Gyuro will host and our Guest Speakers will be Anne Jenkins and Tammi Mendels from Travel Medford. Anne and Tammi will talk about the upcoming tourist/travel season, what’s expected, the resources available from Travel Medford and much more. The timing is perfect to have these two speak, being that Travel Medford is part of the Medford Chamber it’s a great way for the Upper Rogue to show what we got, with a GREAT turnout!
Chamber After Hours Social Mixer: You won’t want to miss this! The first mixer was a HUGE success. On Thursday May 2nd we head up Hwy 62 to the Prospect Historic Hotel and visit with Fred and Karen. All Upper Rogue organizations (ie Rotary, Lions etc.) are invited and encouraged to attend.The event is from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. The Prospect Historic Hotel will be showcasing some items that you’ll be able to find at the season opening of the Dinner House the following day, Friday May 3rd. If you would like to travel up via party busjust two or three seats are left. Cost is $10 per person. We’ll leave Eagle Landing parking lot at 4:45 and return around 7:45. Thursday April 11th from 5p to 8p is a special night for the ladies at Eagle Point Hardware and Rental. There will be food, wine and gardening demos, giveaways and special coupon deals. The flower basket drive is ON! To support community improvements by providing 50 plus “Crater Lake” flower baskets to decorate our “Town Center” in the public right of way. We also want to support individual commitments from business and individuals for private placement either in or out of the town center area. Be a Harnish Volunteer: Would you like to be a volunteer this summer? Be an ambassador to the Upper Rogue? Have a knack of being a Tour Guide? Here’s you chance to be all of that! Training for the Harnish Way Visitor volunteers will take place Tuesday, April 16 from 12 noon to 1 PM. Tips on greeting visitors, area brochure, information and a tour of the Visitor Center itself will be featured.click here For more information
Eagle Point High School Thomas Ussary Memorial Car Show: April 27th, 2013 The Eagle Point High School Thomas Ussary Memorial Car Show has been an annual event at Eagle Point High School for a few years now and has been a great success. The proceeds from the show go to the Thomas Ussary Memorial Scholarship fund and the Eagle Point High School SkillsUSA Club. The event includes a car show n’ shine, poker run, trophies, concessions, and many prizes! Please come and join in the fun! Every type of vehicle is welcome, from mopeds to semi-trucks. Registration begins at 8:00am. This is a student ran show with all the proceeds going to the students. Each year we have new and friendly volunteers that help make the car show a success.
