Greetings from The Eagle Point and Upper Rogue Chamber of Commerce!
Finally! The Fall season is upon us. The weather is beginning to change along with the leaves. It feels like Halloween, Thanksgiving and even Christmas are just around the corner. Things are going to get busy.
Last week, our Chamber held it’s annual Awards Banquet and I was especially glad to see one of Eagle Point School District’s teachers, Daniel Langston, recognized as the teacher of the year. Yes, I know there were other awards, but as Superintendent of District 9, this one was close to my heart:
Daniel is a fabulous teacher and an inspiration to many, many kids.
Looking ahead, the Chamber will be co-hosting an Eagle Point Downtown Hoedown on October 26 on Main Street from 4:00-7:00 PM. We plan to have live music, food trucks and local crafts for the kids. Please plan on attending this fun family event.
It is the Chambers mission to help build and promote local business, and to do what we can to make this a great place to live and work. If you are a new business or an old business looking to make new contacts, please consider joining us at our next meeting and luncheon, on November 4, at the Ashpole Center in Eagle Point, from 12pm-1pm.
You can also always keep up to date on what’s happening by checking our Chamber website.
Sincerely,
Andy Kovach
Superintendent, Eagle Point School District 9
