Avenue of the Flags: The flags will be going up on Friday, rain or shine. Help is needed in putting up the flags with the gathering point being the Ray’s parking lot at 4p sharp. The date set to remove the flags is Tuesday November 13th. The flags must be dry to be removed so weather permitting we’ll gather in the Ray’s parking lot at 4p on Tuesday November 13th to remove the flags.
Veteran’s Day: On Veteran’s Day Jerry at the Senior Center will be cooking up breakfast. Breakfast is FREE for all Veteran’s and just $5 for Non-Veteran’s. People are asked to meet in the Ashpole Center at 10:15a and then at 10:45 there will be a precession from the Ashpole Center to the covered bridge. All citizens are invited to walk in the precession to honor all Veteran’s. Ceremony begins at 11:00 sharp.
Gobble Till You Wobble: Chamber member Butte Creek Mill will be hosting the 3rdAnnual “Gobble Till You Wobble” this Saturday. Ron Clanton and the Rogue Dutch Oven Cookers will be cooking up a real Thanksgiving Feast with all the trimmings, prepared in Dutch Ovens. Come by for sample plates beginning around noon. Show up early as in years past the bird and trimmings have been picked clean.
Eagle Point Pee Wee Football: The Upper Rogue Jr Pee Wees won the Rogue Valley Championship, and are raising money to go to Eugene, where they will be playing at Autzen Stadium. On Friday the team will be selling raffle tickets front of the Eagle point WalMart beginning at 10 am. Tickets are 1 for $1, 6 for $5, 12 for $10. Prizes include gift certificates to Human bean, Walmart, Olive Garden, gift basket from Pape, free haircuts Charlas in Ep, free night at Brookside Inn, Dutch Bros drinks, and so much more. Christmas Tree Lighting: The Eagle Point Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony by the Eagle Point Community Association has been announced for December 7th at 7 pm. Stuffed animals are needed for the festivities at the Ashpole Center! Any clean, soft, gently used animals will be gratefully accepted. And you can contact Bunny Lincoln at 541-944-2446.
Local’s Un-Wined: Chamber Member Agate Ridge Vineyards hosts Local’s Un-Wined every Friday night in November. From 5p-8p Live Music, Local Artisan Food, No Cover Charge and Glass Specials. At Agate Ridge you will find them carrying ‘local’ products from Chamber Members Cakery Kisses and the Butcher Shop along with other Upper Rogue Favorites. Crater Lake Cellars has some great tasting opportunities as well, swing by Crater Lake Cellars and say hi to Mary and the gange in Shady Cove.
