I love our community, don’t you? Whether it’s the landscape and scenery, the food and restaurants, or the nonprofits and businesses that provide goods and services for our community, Eagle Point and other cities and towns in the Upper Rogue are so beautiful and vibrant with life!
I want to welcome Rogue Community Health to Eagle Point, as they are a new business in our wonderful town. I love seeing new businesses in Eagle Point, as it displays economic growth in our community.
Another new business coming to town is Royal Market, which will be opening on Main Street right next door to where I work; 71Five Campus. I am personally excited that there will be a convenience store so close to the Youth Center, as it will be easier for me to maintain safety for the youth who want to head to the market during our programs. Now when kids want to grab a snack (that we don’t have at our snack bar) they will just be right around the corner.
Speaking of right around the corner… 4th of July is coming up FAST! The Chamber Board and 4th of July Committee members have been working tirelessly for several months now to ensure that this year’s 4th of July parade and festivities are exploding with fun for the whole family. We are excited for the event, and are so grateful for the businesses that have sponsored, as well as those who have a booth or a float at the parade and vender fair. As the Ministry Coordinator for 71Five Campus – Eagle Point, I am also excited to be a part of the parade representing Youth 71Five Ministry as the Non-Profit of the Year. We will have a float in the parade (keep an eye out!) and many of the youth in our Campus programs will be holding banners in the parade representing the mayor and the businesses who received a “____ of-the-Year” Chamber Award.
