The Up & Coming

Autumn is here, and with school back in session, the hustle and bustle of downtown businesses are falling into their new routines. Speaking of routines, did you know that the Chamber of Commerce does lunches every month? Every Chamber member can attend, and it is free! “When is it?” you may ask… Well, good news! If you receive this email, you will also receive the email updates about our lunches and other fun events. They are the first Monday of each month at 12:00. I hope to see you at the next one!

As a member of the Chamber myself, I see the value of sharing about what I do, and sharing highlights about my work as a Ministry Director in the Rogue Valley. So here is a little update with Youth 71Five Ministries… First, in the last year 71Five had received the Nonprofit of the Year Award through both the Eagle Point and Upper Rogue Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Medford and Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. I am glad to see that the work we are doing is making an impact. Second, 71Five Campus – Eagle Point just purchased the vacant lot that lies directly adjacent to our Campus Youth Center on Main Street (across from the Library), and we are currently working on getting permits and funding to build a sports park with Basketball and Pickleball! I am excited to see how the project goes and am grateful for the support that the City has displayed while we move forward in getting started.

(For more information about this project or the work that we do through 71Five, please contact me at 541-530-0648: text/call or peter@71Five.org)
