Greetings from The Eagle Point and Upper Rogue Chamber of Commerce.
I trust everyone had a good Thanksgiving and did not gain too many extra pounds.
I’m happy to have dined on my favorite dishes of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce, and of course, pumpkin pie for dessert. And there was enough left over for a turkey and fixings sandwich for the next two days. I skipped the green bean and the corn casserole this year. Now I just need to decide on what to request for Christmas dinner.
We have been very fortunate to have had great November weather and I see many neighbors putting up their holiday lights and decorations. The city is looking friendly and inviting.
There is a lot going on in our little city. The downtown Christmas Tree lighting and chili feed is scheduled for 6:00-6:30 PM this Friday, December1st. on Main Street. And the Chamber is organizing a children’s Christmas card design and offering for local senior citizens in Care Facilities.
In other city happenings, it looks like we will be getting a multiple food truck location on old hwy. 62 across the hwy. from Walmart and next to the Windermere Real Estate office. The parking pad is currently being constructed. And the Golf Course owners have submitted a request for a 81unit townhome development on Alta Vista Dr. The city is growing.
Please come grow with us at The Eagle Point and Upper Rogue Chamber of Commerce.
Come join us.
Regards,
Jay O’Neil
