Candidate Forum: Monday October 22nd is the Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber Candidate Forum featuring a debate between the candidates for County Commissioner. Also speaking and/or invited to speak are candidates for local state offices, county surveyor candidates, the White City council candidates, the incorporation of White City, all the candidates for the city of Eagle Point elected offices, city council and mayor. Doors open at 6pm for meet and greet. The County Commissioners will debate at 7p, followed by brief statements from the candidates running for office. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. This is a great opportunity for us in the Upper Rogue. All we ask that you come, get informed, and bring a friend.
The next general meeting: Will be held at the Ashpole Center November 5th at 12 noon. Lunch will be provided and hosted by Richard and Renate from Alpacas at Lone Ranch. They will not only be bringing lunch, they will also be bringing the ranch to the meeting with some great gift alpaca clothing products that you can purchase. Santa’s Shop: We’re looking for donations and volunteers for Santa’s Shop. A big thanks goes out to Wal-Mart for making a very generous donation to build strong foundation of gifts. A big thanks also to Kathy Sell for coordinating Santa’s Shop again this year. Please contact her if you would like to donate or volunteer and can do so at urindependent@charter.net
Wineries: Autumn is a great time to visit our two wonderful member wineries Agate Ridge and Crater Lake Cellars, and certainly keep them in mind with the upcoming holidays.

On November 1st the Butcher Shop: will begin accepting order for Thanksgiving, featuring fresh local turkey’s, fresh local pheasant, dry aged prime beef and prime rib, cut to order. You can always check out The Butcher Shop on-line.
Family Over flow: If you’re having guests in for the holidays and you need some elbow room, The Brookside Inn and Edgewater Inn have some great holiday special going on, so shoot them an e-mail and create some elbow room and a little sanity this Thanksgiving.
