Eagle Point, OR – This year the Eagle Point Independence Day Celebration will not include a parade, the street fair, or even the big fireworks display.
Nevertheless, Eagle Point knows the essence of celebration is about being part of a community. It’s being a good neighbor. It’s looking after each other in small ways or large. It’s the driver’s wave as they pass a pedestrian. It is residents stopping to check in on how their neighbor’s day is going. And it is about a community keeping an eye out for each other.
Parade of Pictures #EaglePointNeighborhood
The power of our neighborhoods is the secret-power that makes Eagle Point special. This year, The Eagle Point and the Upper Rogue Chamber of Commerce is hosting a “Parade of Pictures.” They invite the community to share their favorite picture or pictures of past Eagle Point Independence Day Parades, as well as pictures of 2020 Independence Day Celebrations, by posting to Instagram with #EaglePointNeighborhood.
Share a Photo – be Eligible to WIN PRIZES!
The call for pictures includes what’s on the barbeque, decorated homes, family traditions, and socially-distant celebrations. Participants could win one of ten $25 gift certificates when they share a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #EaglePointNeighborhood. Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber will have a random-drawings from participants, with prizes including: a $25 gift certificate from locally owned businesses and restaurants.
Interested parties can submit pictures From July 1st to July 4th with the random winners selected on Monday, July 6th.
