As a resident I’m thrilled with the energy and creativity happening in the many communities dotting our end of the stunning Rogue Valley.
I am especially excited that construction has begun on a new Agricultural Sciences Facility adjacent to the high school in Eagle Point. The new classrooms and animal handling spaces will allow our kids to expand their interest in veterinary science and animal biology. The facility, along with the school’s other career and technical education pathways, will also help develop partnerships with local businesses as well as grow future community members with vital skill sets including soft skill, marketing, and salesmanship.
The recently opened Main Street Coffee Shop in Eagle Point is my new favorite hangout. If you stop by, be sure to try the avocado toast! The expanding homes and chalets being built around the Eagle Point Golf Course will bring new residents, businesses, and visitors to our area. Whether it’s a revitalized Butte Creek Mill & Country Store in Eagle Point, a brand spanking new ‘super’ Grange in White City, or a Community Forest that will completely surround the town of Butte Falls, things are happening in our end of the valley that will improve both our economy and quality of life.
