CYCLE OREGON – is on the way!
Celebrating their 25th annual ride, and beginning in far off Bly on
Sunday, September 9th, the riders will spend their first night in Silver Lake,
some 70 miles north.
On September 10 they pedal southwest to historic Fort Klamath where they stay overnight.
On September 11th, they will ride from Fort Klamath to the rim of
Crater Lake where they can take a lap around the lake before coasting
much of the way down to enjoy Historic Union Creek, the Rogue Gorge,
and Prospect where they will spend their third night.
COME WELCOME THE ARRIVAL OF CYCLE OREGON TO PROSPECT
Wednesday, September 11th Day 4 (September 12th) the group departs Prospect via Red Blanket Road heading to Butte Falls for lunch . . . then their route takes them on a “Long and Winding Road”
(Big Elk Road to Dead Indian Highway) and a two-night layover in Ashland. A ceremony will be held in Ashland celebrating “the Silver Ride” commemorating the 25th anniversary milestone year …
and, to honor Jim Beaver – and his idea for a group bike ride highlighting Oregon and all it has to offer .
Day 5 – Ashland stay over (with option of climbing Mt. Ashland).
Day 6 – the finish section from Keno back to Klamath Falls and return to Bly.
